Student Success – Richland’s School Alliance/Community Outreach staff recently hosted the sixth Texas Prefreshman Engineering Program (TexPREP) graduation for the 57 students who completed the summer 2012 program funded by DISD and United Way. TexPREP introduces engineering, logic, and problem-solving to middle school-aged students, and students are eligible to receive one high school elective credit upon successful program completion. Shuyuan Zhang, TexPrep student, was named valedictorian by scoring a perfect 100 in all summer program class work.
