Sustainable Community Building – Kay Eggleston, Richland president, has been appointed to the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 21st- Century Initiative Implementation Team: Faculty Engagement and Leadership Development. This national leadership team will expand the work of the 21st-Century Commission on the Future of Community Colleges by focusing on faculty roles in accomplishment of Recommendations 1 and 2 from the Commission’s report, Reclaiming the American Dream: by 2020, 1) increase completion rates of students earning associate degree and certificates by 50 percent, and 2) dramatically improving college readiness.
