Sustainable Community Building — Richland College’s LEED Platinum-certified Sabine Hall science building was recognized this week by Architizer, a national architectural blog, as one of “The Lone Star State’s Top 13 Buildings To See in 2013.” The Texas Society of Architects collaborated with Architizer to select notable Texas structures for the list, which included the Perot Museum of Nature and Science; the University of Texas at Dallas Campus Landscape Architecture; City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department Pavilions: Cotillion Pavilion; Rice University Twilight Epiphany Skyspace; and Tarrant County College District Trinity River East Campus. Buildings chosen for the list were cited for significantly changing the architectural landscape of Texas.
