Student Success – Richland College’s Total Re-Integration (TRI) Program students who have sustained traumatic brain injuries are part of a feasibility study by the University of Texas at Dallas Center for BrainHealth. This study is to determine the practicality of implementing a cognitive training program in the Dallas area. Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Training (SMART) is a dynamic training program that teaches strategies to improve complex reasoning skills and enhance brain performance following a brain injury, leading to the students’ improved scores on abstract reasoning measures as well as higher scores on academic performance.
