Student Success – Richland College’s TRiO program hosted a National Trio Day Celebration on Feb. 28 for current participants and alumni in the Richland College TRiO Student Support Services and TRiO Upward Bound programs to celebrate their successes and share their experiences with individuals interested in becoming involved in the programs. TRiO is a nationwide, U.S. Department of Education-funded set of initiatives designed to help low-income and first-generation Americans, regardless of race, ethnic background, or economic circumstance, enter college, graduate and move on to participate more fully in America’s economic and social life.
